When we first heard Usher's "She Came To Give It To You," the second single from his highly anticipated album, we immediately fell in love with the funky, disco-era groove produced by Pharrell Williams and featuring Nicki Minaj. While it is clear to us that Usher has another banger on his hands, the single has not blown up on the charts just yet. However, people seem to be enjoying the sudden Nu Disco resurgence of contemporary artists making throwback dance records, so Usher's new track will be blasting through everyone's speakers in no time.
If you are really feeling the groove, you will love Yam Who?'s remix. Calling his take a "Street Hustle Rework," the remix is definitely meant for those who can cut a mean rug on the dance floor. The Off the Wall-esque rhythm guitar, bass and percussion that Pharrell laid down on the original track remains the same. However, Yam Who? generously extends the first two minutes of the song with just the funky instrumental for folks to work up a sweat before Usher's smooth vocals come sliding through.
