In a matter of days, Apple's annual iTunes Festival will be underway at the iconic venue Roundhouse in London. For the entire month of September, the iTunes Festival will bring together over 60 artists for 30 nights of music and memorable performances. The all-star line up features artists and musicians from a diverse array of genres ranging from dance/electronic to jazz to rock to R&B/soul. Some of the big names that will be performing are Mary J. Blige, Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran, all of whom had a great year of commercial success so far.
Other performers include SB faves such as Sam Smith, Gregory Porter, Jessie Ware, Little Dragon and MNEK. Lenny Kravitz is also scheduled to perform on September 26th with brand new material from his new anticipated album, Strut, which will be released three days prior. The closing act on September 30th is to be announced, but how cool would be if Prince and 3RDEYEGIRL surprised us all and performed? It makes sense since the on that same day he will be releasing two new albums. We're crossing our fingers to see if iTunes can make that magic happen.
If you are lucky enough to get a ticket and attend the Festival in person, congratulations. However, wherever you are, you can experience the festival for free on iTunes or Apple TV. For more information about the festival and official lineup, visit the iTunes Festival website.
