TIAAN Keeps It 'Clean'

TIAAN sped onto our radar earlier this summer with her single “Black Cars.” Just before that, she completed her eponymously-titled debut EP, TIAAN, and has been generating favorable buzz with the release of each of the album’s four singles.

Now based in Los Angeles, the Australian singer has spent the past few months touring and promoting her EP. Riding high off the wave of critical praise she’s garnered, she recently took the time to record her fifth single, “Clean.” It’s an earnest song with themes of love, devotion, trust and support. Swedish producer Arnthor Birgisson wisely opts for a minimalist approach with the instrumentals that allows TIAAN’s vocals to shine through. Her voice evokes a sensual, slow burn -- an effective contrast to the simple purity of lyrics like “Let them tears fall. You are safe right here in my arms.”

If TIAAN keeps up this pace, I suspect there’ll be a re-release of her EP in the near future (with additional tracks, of course). Thankfully, you don’t have to rely on my predictions. Keep up with the latest updates via her website and hear all of her music right now on Spotify and SoundCloud.
