It's only Monday and Usher is already winning the week. Not only did he perform during this year's 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, he also dropped a new single and announced his forthcoming The UR Experience World Tour.
In the 30-second teaser trailer for the tour, a black-and-white montage of Raymond running, rehearsing with his dancers and rocking a Pharrell Williams-inspired hat, titillates viewers of what's to come. As one of music's most high-energy performers, it's sure to be a great show, though when and where it starts is currently anyone's guess, as dates and cities have not yet been revealed.
Hopefully the set list will include Ursh's "Believe Me." The tune -- presented by Pepsi and premiered online through MTV and VH1 -- is a slower tempo groove courtesy of producer Mike WiLL Made It that would make a great addition to "Good Kisser" (pick your favorite remix here) on Usher's Everything You Can Imagine album. A bit of a Confessions throwback, it sounds like Usher Raymond is falling back into his lying, cheating ways and breaking his woman's heart in the process. He didn't mean to, he claims, and is ready to make it up to her if only she'd give him a chance.
We've heard that one before, Mr. Raymond, but it's a plea we'll be happy to listen to again and again.
