THEN: Electro-R&B duo J*DaVeY added a funky edge to their soul and got our attention with their double album The Beauty in Distortion/The Land of the Lost EPisodes back in 2007, the year we gave them our Bounce-Worthy stamp of approval. Their brash, in-you-face style brought them Internet and real-world fame and eventually landed them a mainstream deal.
NOW: Though their major label deal didn't exactly pan out, Miss Jack Davey and Brook D'Leau still managed to rock our socks off when they released New Designer Drug in 2011. But soon after, the band went on a hiatus, with Brook utilizing his skills playing behind R&B star (and aspiring acrobat) Miguel while Jack delivered a few solo tracks and became a mother. They've returned to the scene, though, with an upcoming new album, Rookie, and plenty of attitude to go around.
