Luke James: Let’s do it, we need to interlock fingers and everything.
SB: [laughs] So your album Luke James is out now. How do you feel?
LJ: Amazing.
SB: Describe your Tuesday, the day it came out.
LJ: I guess everyone was like, ‘Yo are you excited?’ I was mostly ready, I’ve been working on this all my life, you know what I mean? Dreaming of this moment, for me I just hope people -- I hope somebody, two, three, four, five people -- like it at least.
SB: I think at least seven do, so that’s a great sign!

SB: Exactly! So tell us, why did you name it after yourself?
- Advertisement -LJ: Initially, of course, the album was entitled Made To Love, which is a period in my life.
SB: And which you are, by the way.
- Advertisement -LJ: Which I am, I think everyone is. But just more and more as I created it and was really fine-tuning the official album, it just made more sense to title it Luke James. Like just even speaking to friends about the album they were like, why don’t you just call it Luke James because it’s the very first. I guess its the cover of the book. I like to think of it as the prelude.
