Willow Smith Brings Some 'Female Energy' With Her Freestyle

Willow Smith and her brother Jaden Smith have been in creative moods lately, both releasing new tracks every other month. Willow continues the streak and is staying true to her style and is growing, even at the tender age of 14, into her own voice with her latest single, "Female Energy (Freestyle)," which seems to take a page from SZA and Jhené Aiko's old diaries. Not a rap freestyle, but a free form flow of her inner thoughts and feelings about a young love, the single is serious but easygoing. On top of an ambient beat, Willow takes a few risks with her vocals, singing, "I'll just take my spirit to go / To the top of the pyramids / Let's save the world like this." While she's not whipping her hair back and forth, she gives you a laid-back single to give you a steady, resting heart rate.

Produced by AzZi, "Female Energy (Freestyle)" is a welcome addition to her cosmic collection, which you can check out on her SoundCloud. Now that you've heard our side of things, will you let Willow woo you with her latest track or should she keep her female energy to herself?
