Though she's been keeping busy on the road touring alongside The Foreign Exchange and Zo!, Carmen Rodgers has still found the time to put the finishing touches on her third studio album, Stargazer. After waiting what has seemed like an eternity, news that the album will be released on February 17, 2015 is cause for a celebration. For the album, Rodgers assembled a collective team to aid in her writing and production process, including Claudia Melton, S1 & Caleb, Daniel Jones and Ernie G. Fellow Atlanta resident and pal Anthony David also guests on the album.
As you may recall, she released what was to be the album's first single, "Make A Way," around the same time that Beyoncé shocked fans with her surprise album. However, after spending the past year fine tuning the project, the album's official lead single will be "Heartless," produced by Deonis "Pumah Beats" Cook and set to be released sometime this month. Stargazer will be released via Rodgers' own label Candigirl Music, LLC in partnership with Purpose Music Group and its distribution arm Nia.
