The videos from Little Dragon's latest album, Nabuma Rubberband, have been been nothing short of breathtaking. From the otherworldly "Klapp Klapp" to the road trip fun of "Paris" and the sinister vibe of "Pretty Girls," each has been an unexpected thrill to watch. For their latest clip from the project for the song "Underbart," the LD crew keeps the innovative spirit going.
Featuring a green-wigged Don Bolles (of the legendary punk band The Germs), the visual focuses on lead singer Yukimi Nagano as she takes a rather odd trip that is slightly Alice in Wonderland-esque. That is, if that story included a punk legend, a visit to the laundromat, an illuminated bus and group choreography. Oh, and not to mention, Yukimi rocks a platinum bob that gives her the look of a possessed femme fatale.
Besides the wonderful look of the clip, though, I haven't the foggiest of what exactly is going on here. But, then again, when has that ever stopped us from being mesmerized by Little Dragon's sheer creative force. Press play and prepare yourself for more of LD's signature quirk.
