NYC Bouncers: Join Harlem Stage For A Roundtable Discussion On Soul Music NOW

New York's Harlem Stage is shaping up to be the go-to destination for quality soul music performances and provocative discussions about the genre. Their recent Uptown Nights series has brought out a who's who in soul, including events with Chris Turner, Kimberly Nichole and an upcoming event with soulful trio KING. In addition, their roundtables provide a candid discussion about music that you don't find too many other places, with established artists (like Meshell Ndegeocello), music journalists, scholars and industry insiders contributing to the conversation.

On Tuesday, February 3rd, they will be presenting their Uptown Nights Roundtable: Soul Music NOW. It's sure to be a lively discussion as the panelists, Okayplayer's Cali Green, Jason King of NPR's I'll Take You There and The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, sonic conceptual artist Abby Dobson and Wax Poetic's Andre Torres, sit down with moderator Jalylah Burrell chop it up about soul music's past, future and its current state. And if you're wondering how that handsome guy in the bottom square got up there, your eyes do not deceive you. I will also be on the panel contributing my two cents and representing for SoulBounce. It'll definitely be a discussion you won't want to miss.

It will all go down at Harlem Stage this coming Tuesday, February 3rd, at 7:30 p.m. The event is free, but if you want to be in the number, you must RSVP via their website. We'll see you there!
