You'd Be 'Stupid' To Miss This Jazmine Sullivan Live Performance

Jazmine Sullivan Stupid Girl V Sessions

We should have our hands on Jazmine Sullivan's Reality Show this time next week, and in anticipation, the songstress granted a few exclusive performances to VIBE's V Sessions. Yesterday, we got our first glimpse with Jazzy's rendition of the Whitney Houston classic "I Have Nothing." Now, she's giving us an encore with a performance of her track "Stupid Girl."

We first got to hear the track over the summer when she debuted the number for NPR's Field Recordings series with just her and a guitar player in a barbershop. This time, though, she gives the track a much fuller rendition with a full band and backing singers as she warns women about becoming a play thing for a man. With the song fully realized here, we can hear nuances and cues that we didn't hear during the NPR set, including Jazmine's dramatic, slightly theatrical delivery and retro-leaning sound.

It's a great performance for sure and definitely leaves us hungering for Reality Show when it's released next Tuesday. While we count down the moments until its release, take a gander and Jazzy doing the damn thing right here.
