Ivory: I loved that he was having so much fun. You could tell that he genuinely was enjoying himself up there. It felt so good to see him smile!

Paisley Sparks: Yeah, you're right. I remember people saying that he cut a fairly glum figure perched behind his keys previously, but he was so bright, smiley and clearly at ease with the whole thing. He looked like he was enjoying it as much as we were!

Ivory: I kept reading that he wasn't pleased with the album's release, so to see him so happy to be performing the songs made me feel so much better. Not that I thought he had anything to be upset about. The album is truly a piece of art.

Patrick: I’m going to be bold here, but I think that album will be loved for many years and will go down in history as one of the greatest albums of all time. Shoot me now!

Ivory: We both would in the line of fire then because I agree. During your show, did D'Angelo interact with the audience a lot? He spent a lot of time shaking hands and at one point sat at the edge of the stage. I wanted to run down to the front row so bad, but didn't want to be taken out by security. Those tickets were way too expensive to be put out on the street!

Paisley Sparks: Oh, Ivory. Are you sitting down?

Ivory: Oh goodness, I am now.

Paisley Sparks: He went into the crowd. Waded through the first six or so rows. Shaking hands, women throwing themselves at him.

Ivory: AHHHHHH!!!! OK, I think you're trying to kill me, Paisley.

Paisley Sparks: Sorry!

Ivory: I don’t think he would have survived if had gone into the audience at the Apollo. He definitely would have been missing some clothes when he finished.
