Sons of Serendip have certainly come a long way since their graduate school days at Boston University. The undeniable musical chemistry of the four friends made them finalists on Season 9 of NBC's America's Got Talent and propelled them to TV stardom. And although they didn't take home the big prize, Micah Christian (vocals), Cordaro Rodriguez (piano), Mason Morton (harp) and Kendall Ramseur (cello) are still winning in a major way.

The Boston-based quartet recently completed a successful PledgeMusic campaign to launch their independently-released debut EP, Sons of Serendip. The album showcases the artistry of the group as they combine their individual gifts to create soothing covers of popular songs with a classical bent. Ironically, one of the standout tracks is their take on another cover -- Sam Smith's searing version of "How Will I Know" by the incomparable Whitney Houston. SOS maintains the mood of Smith's update (with Christian doing an impressive job on vocals), but further embellishes the piece with dramatic cello movements, soaring string arrangements and harp trills.

Take a listen to their beautiful rendition below, then head over to their website to learn more about these talented gentlemen and keep up with their latest news. Sons of Serendip is currently available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes.
