Spring hasn't yet sprung, but a ray of sunshine is helping melt away the doldrums of winter. Deep house purveyor Shyvonne is out with her track "Give Into Love," and the Chuck Wild-produced jam finds her lifting the moods of listeners by digging deep into soul-sung vocals and tropical-infused beats.
The tune is pretty much its title: Within its lyrics, Shyvonne encourages her would-be lover to surrender to the embrace of love. "Leave your sanity behind / Run away with me / Don't trust your eyes / 'Cause you're hard to see," she sings in the chorus, further urging "letting go" and "not thinking too much," while also pointing out this prolonged flirtation has gone on long enough.
The sound of "Give Into Love" will find many reminiscing about the days when Crystal Waters, Ce Ce Peniston and Martha Wash were the queens of the dance floor, but the track will also fit well on a mix of recent-ish releases that includes Kiesza's "Hideaway," Duke Dumont's "Won't Look Back," MNEK's "The Rhythm," Bondax's "All I See" and Casino Gold's "1981" (any takers out there, DJs?). It's a welcome addition to the soundtrack of the coming season as things start to heat up.
