The UK house music champion joined forces with one of the innovators of the garage sound to produce one of those floor-filling jams that reel everyone in with its feel-good funk, playful piano keys and uplift in the form of handclap ecstasy. It offers the kind of inclusive, get-into-the-groove nostalgia ’90s house heads lament is missing from today’s electronic dance music, but it keeps things contemporary with slick production and by leaving no element scrutinized, as each acoustic thump and key feels it was placed perfectly within the composition.
“Privilege” tempts us to get the party started a little early this week, though fans will have to wait a few days before they’re able to pick up or download T.’s Acoustic Treatment EP, on which the track is featured.
