The fellas of Denton, Texas-based collective Snarky Puppy have been a busy bunch. Though the world might've taken notice of them after their 2014 GRAMMY win with Lalah Hathaway for "Something," the SP crew has been making noise for quite some time and continues to do so.

Their latest move is the new album Sylva, a collaboration with Holland's Metropole Orkest, which will mark the band's major debut when it arrives on Impulse!/Universal Music Classics this spring. While this definitely isn't the first time that Metropole Orkest has collaborated with an American act, Sylva is a unique outing for both collectives. It consists of six movements, each dedicated to a different forest that the collective has encountered. The "dreamlike cinema-concept-album" is sure to be an immersive listen, especially because, in typical Snarky Puppy fashion, the album will come bundled with a DVD of the live recording of the project.

As if that weren't enough, the crew will also be hitting the road on a North American tour this year, which kicked off last night in Denton with a screening of the Sylva DVD. But if you weren't in attendance for that, don't fret. The fellas will be hitting more than a few cities and jazz festivals near you in the coming months.

Look for the album to be released on May 26th. Below, you'll find a taste of Sylva with a clip of "The Curtain" and you'll also find tour dates and cities.
