Kehlani & BJ The Chicago Kid Are Still ‘Down For You’

Back in March, Bay Area songstress Kehlani partnered up with BJ the Chicago Kid for their track "Down For You," and now the Jahaan Sweet-produced single is getting a little update. Sydney-bred producer Nehzuil and Atlanta-based producer Gravez have joined forces across borders to remix the romantic track to remind you how love should sound. Unlike the original, which rests on bass and piano, the remix strips the single in the beginning, giving Kehlani a chance to tell us her love story with no interruption. BJ gets the same treatment, with his smooth vocals simply backed by a few piano keys. The sweet love song moves into hip-hop territory after four minutes of the duo cooing over the sweet melodies. Once the beat drops, the producers infuse synth, percussion and an electric guitar to add emphasis to the chorus.

If you're down for this track, you can find it on Gravez' SoundCloud page, and if you like what you hear from Kehlani, you can purchase her album You Should Be Here over on iTunes. Listen to Kehlani and BJ sing sweetly to each other in Nehzuil and Gravez remix of "Down For You" right here.
