Songstress Candice Anitra is set to release her brand new double EP, Narcissus/Echo, on Friday, July 17th. The daring collection finds the singer exploring themes of ego, sex, love and life that are sure to draw the listener in. Last month, we got a taste of the set with a live acoustic performance in Brooklyn's Studio G, and we can say that what Anitra has in store is nothing less than mesmerizing.

But you don't have to take our word for it. On the eve of the double EP's release, we're pleased to present you with two selections from the live video recording of the section. First up is Candice's inspired cover of Jhené Aiko's "Spotless Mind." A mostly straightforward cover of the track, something about Candice's delivery and vocal along with the acoustic guitar adds a certain layer to the song that the original doesn't have. Plus, to see that emotion that she puts into the performance is an experience in and of itself.

Next is a performance of her own original track, "Woman." Exploring the many aspects of being a feminine being. With a smoky, jazzy vocal, she paints an unforgettable portrait of a wife, mother, lover, fighter and wild child, all the things a woman can be.
