Ever since we first heard the Kwame-produced joint "Get Right Back To My Baby," we've very anxiously anticipated the release of Vivian Green's upcoming album Vivid. And while she's given us another lovely single with "I'm Not Broken," something about the summertime-ready groove of "Get Right Back" keeps us coming back. But if you enjoy the song but wanted something a little bit slower to groove with your lover to, Vivian's got you covered on that front, too.
The singer recently released a "Lovers Remix" of the song, and it's definitely one for those that are boo'd up. She strips back the "Before I Let Go" sample completely, replacing it with reverberating piano (which is courtesy of Jamar Jones) and echos of her vocals from the original, creating a haunting, sensual feel. It's also a perfect showcase for her honeyed vocals. She sings slowly and sweetly of the anticipation of getting back into her lover's arms with a conviction that will make you want to reach out and touch that special someone (or, for those of you who are single, call up that old flame).
