Whether DJ'ing, producing or collaborating with some of our favorite artists (including partner-in-music, Mar), Full Crate keeps himself pretty busy. Though Full Crate x Mar still perform together on a regular basis, each artist still continues to release some amazing solo material. In the past few months, Mar has leaked teasers for his upcoming EP When We Meet. Now Crate is giving us a tease of his own to announce his forthcoming project Pleasure Pools.

The EP's first release "Special" features a deconstructed sample of Snoop Dogg's 2003 hit "Beautiful." With sleek production from The Neptunes and guest features by Pharrell Williams and Charlie Wilson, the song became Snoop's second highest-charting hit and earned a GRAMMY for Pharrell and Chad Hugo.

Seemingly channeling the song's memorable video which was shot in Brazil, Crate transports us to the tropics with Samba-tinged loops that showcase simple, yet catchy chord progressions and a variety of percussive sounds. Snippets of Pharrell's vocals ("I just want you to know that you are really special") highlight the inspiration behind the track's title, while additional vocals from Gia Koka inject the party vibe with a hint of sexiness.
