Los Angeles native Miguel recently used his voice for a cause when he teamed up with non-profit Make Room USA. To raise awareness about the rental housing crisis, the singer/songwriter brought a little R&B and joy to fans while in Detroit on his national tour and lent his support to the Rollins family and rent-stressed Americans. The family and a few fans made room for the crooner in their home when he surprised them to perform a few of his hits as a kind gesture of encouragement. They experienced an up-close-and-personal acoustic performance with Miguel and sang along to the likes of the upbeat "Adorn" and sentimental versions of "Coffee" and "What's Normal Again." The GRAMMY-winning singer got emotional as he shared his own story of adversity, growing up in a single-parent home and dealing with being mixed race.

The last time we saw Miguel, he was riding around and getting it in L.A. with Kurupt, in his short film WILDHEART Chapter One: Find What You Love and Let It Kill You for his latest album Wildheart. Speaking of L.A., Miguel wraps up his Wildheart Tour in his hometown today. While we wait to see what we'll get next from the crooner, watch the videos of Miguel's living room performances right here and make room for him and his talent in your heart. If you want to see more from the heartwarming gesture, head over to MakeRoomUSA.org and just for good measure, you can still purchase Wildheart over on iTunes.
