As you might know, The Pharcyde's Labcabincalifornia turned 20 this year. The album, which featured the hip hop classics "Drop" and "Runnin," gained somewhat of a cult following in the years since its release due to the rhymes of the four-man crew and a host of production done by a then-unknown J. Dilla. To commemorate the milestone, the group teamed up with the legendary DJ Spinna to create a Labcabincalifornia 20th anniversary edition of his #BeamMeUpSpinna mixtape series.

But it's not just a typical rundown of the album's greatest moments. Instead, the mix features remixes and rarities. Group member Bootie Brown contributes quite a few remixes, including a new mix of "Runnin" and teaming up with producer Ta R'aach to recreate "Devils Music." Then there's a DJ Mike Relm remix of "Drop," a remix of "Groupie Therapy" by SBBX and a remix of "Y" by Moka Only. And as if that weren't enough, there's even the previously unreleased "Nasty Habits," which features appearances from New Edition's Bobby Brown and Ralph Tresvant. It's all helmed by that masterful DJ Spinna, who pulls it all together and ties it up in a funky bow like only he could.

So, before you get ready to celebrate Christmas, get into this gift for your ears and give this mixtape a few spins.
