Christmas may be mere days away, but it sure doesn’t feel like it. Global warming has much of the East Coast scrambling every morning to figure out how to dress weather appropriately. Some days it feels like spring and others fall, but we’ve somehow managed to escape winter altogether. Even with this being the case, it looks like our family out in Atlanta is still celebrating the spirit of winter and the Christmas season. Algebra Blessett and rising crooner Victor Jackson have teamed up for a sweet new take on the classic holiday duet, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” and we’re absolutely in love with it.
While it may not be cold outside, this lovely song and video will make you wish that it were so that you could find someone to cuddle up with. These two talented Atliens bring this jazzy tune up to date without adding any unnecessary bells, whistles or trap drums. They sing and dance around a beautifully decorated room as they narrate the age-old holiday love story. As Jackson tries to keep Blessett around for the night, Blessett even mentions calling an Uber to get home but of course there’s a surge in pricing. At the end of it all, the two end up singing sweet harmonies together and snuggling up with a glass or two of a drink that’ll really warm them up.
This special new rendition of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is featured on an album curated by lifestyle expert Satchel B. Jester called SoundBySatchel presents Soul Holiday Spectacular, which you can find in full on SoundCloud now.
