Erykah Badu But You Caint Use My Phone [iTunes][Google Play]

It's never too late to release your first mixtape and that's exactly what Erykah Badu did in 2015. But You Caint Use My Phone had Erykah making our "Hotline Bling" better than Drake with her "Cel U Lar Device." She also promised she could make you put your "Phone Down," and any promise Ms. Badu makes, she keeps. One of the standout tracks from the 11-track project is "Hello," the collaboration with ex-bae, rapper Andre 3000, which showcased both artists at their creative best. Each track on the phone-themed project served Erykah's experimental nature on a platter and had us wanting more.

With her love of hip hop, soul, funk and jazz, Mama Badu wrapped us up with her telephone wires and had us dialing in to her insane creativity that was But You Caint Use My Phone. 2015 was Badu's year, from DJing and performing at festivals across the country to hosting the Soul Train Awards, and just being as ill as she is. If last year is the ringback tone to her celly, we can't wait to hear what she has in store for us when she picks up that phone in 2016. -- Mercy
