With two EPs under her belt, it seems Sevyn Streeter has been popping everywhere over the past three years. And if you thought that 2016 would see the "Don't Kill the Fun" singer taking a break, well, you thought wrong. After giving fans covers of popular songs with her Streeter Switch series, the songstress puts a new spin of one of her own songs with an acoustic take on Shoulda Been There Pt. 1 single "Love In Competition."

Filmed in timeless black-and-white, Sevyn delivers an emotional performance of the song, which finds her questioning whether or not her lover is pitting her love against another's. Chris Morgan lays down a beautiful guitar melody as Sevyn bears her heart while contemplating if her relationship is coming to an unfortunate end. While it's easy to love the singer on highly produced tracks, acoustic moments like these really allow Streeter to showcase her powerful pipes and her ability to craft emotional, relatable songs.

We definitely love Sevyn's two EPs, but performances like this one have us wondering when we're going to get a proper debut from the Florida-born chanteuse. Maybe 2016 will be the year? While we wait and see just what Ms. Streeter has up her sleeve for the year, check out her acoustic performance of "Love In Competition" right here.
