M.I.A. Drops The 'Boom' On Banging Dance Track

Sri Lankan rapper and international party starter M.I.A. decided that it was time to do a little spring cleaning on her hard drive and has blessed our party playlists in the process with the unearthing of the track "Boom ADD." Originally a skit off of her 2013 album, Matangi, we can now enjoy the full version of the ludicrously short track "Boom," a dance-floor ready groove that will have everyone doing a body roll.

Recorded in 2012, “Boom” was edited down to a short skit due to the inclusion of some details about her infamous lawsuit with the NFL. They kinda frowned upon a bird he flipped during her 2012 Super Bowl performance with Madonna and Nicki Minaj. While the original skit felt way too short at 1:16 based on the hypnotic beat alone, the full version features a shifting sound bed, moving from one breakbeat to the next that keeps things interesting and booties shaking. Known for her basement party grind grooves, M.I.A. doesn’t disappoint with “Boom ADD.”

We’ll definitely be adding “Boom ADD” to our “Sweat Your Weave Out” playlist for the spring. Check out the track for yourself right now.
