A knife-wielding beauty, a bloody-nosed woman and a man doing a terrible job of drinking milk all play a part in the visuals for TOKiMONSTA's latest offering "Put It Down." Ahead of the release of her mini-album Fovere in early March, "Put It Down" is the latest single from the DJ/producer extraordinaire, who enlists the talents of KRNE and current "it" guy Anderson .Paak. Like a few disturbing scenes out of Twin Peaks, the video has an eclectic and eery vibe but gets a dose of cool with the presence of Anderson. Mr. .Paak serves a prominent role in the video, directed by Mike Dempsey and Rami Hachache, dancing in sync to the pulsating beat. The visuals, whose primary colors are black, white and red, features Anderson in all black leather singing over the synth-heavy track that does in fact make you want to put something down on the dance floor.
Pretty much known as a genre bender, with her funky remixes and lack of fear when approaching all music, TOKi always offers a fresh perspective on any track she sets forth. Speaking of fresh, TOKi was pretty hip to Anderson before us since she collaborated with him for her single "Realla" back in 2014. If you're feeling what you're hearing and seeing from TOKi, you won't have too long to wait for more since Fovere drops March 4th. She's also embarking on a mini-tour after the release. You can check out those dates and the tracklist for the new album below. Until she drops the other six tracks, you can always bounce (and try not to get creeped out) to TOKiMONSTA's "Put It Down" right here.
