Laura Mvula's "Overcome" has stayed in heavy rotation since its January release, between the song's funky thump (thanks in large part to collaborator Nile Rodgers) and its breathtaking music video. We can't wait to hear/see what else Mvula has in the works on her upcoming album The Dreaming Room, although we will have to be patient until June 17th to get it into our hands. Her lucky UK fans won't have to wait that long to see Laura live with the announcement of her headlining tour there this May.
In case you didn't get tickets to see Laura's sold out London show on March 22nd, don't despair. Kicking off on May 14th in Leeds, Laura Mvula's UK tour will grace stages in a total of eight cities. From Leeds, her travels will take her to various locales including Liverpool, Glasgow, Manchester and her hometown of Birmingham. Joining Mvula on this tour are opening acts Jodie Abacus for the first four dates and Sarah Walk for the latter four.
