Emily King & Her ‘Good Friend’ Give Us A Taste Of Her Live Show

Emily King has had a surge in recognition after releasing her second official LP, last year's The Switch. The album saw the 30-year-old GRAMMY nominee's star rise once again after a considerable amount of time between albums (during which she released the stellar Seven EP). Since its release, the singer-songwriter has been touring extensively behind the project, including making a few late night television appearances. But if you've somehow missed your chance to see her do her thing live, she's got you covered, delivering a video of her performing Switch track "Good Friend" live at Los Angeles venue The Troubadour this past February.

The upbeat track is made even livelier by King, who dons an all-white getup with long fringes draping down from the shoulders in the clip. She delivers a performance filled with infectious energy, from running onto the stage as the song starts to her jittery movements as she sings. What's most obvious from the footage, though, is just how much Emily loves to perform. The entire time, a wide grin is plastered on her face as she takes in the crowd's good vibes.

If watching the performance has you yearning to see Emily in person, you're in luck. The singer will be hitting a good portion of the U.S. this summer on yet another leg of touring. Even better, a few of the dates will also include PJ Morton, who just released his first mixtape Bounce & Soul and is sure to bring his own unique fun to the proceedings. Check out Emily performing "Good Friend" and peruse her upcoming tour dates below. More info, including where to buy tickets, can be found on Emily's website.
