Amid all the hoopla concerning his sexuality, Frank pulled a Beyoncé before Queen Bey herself and surprise dropped his official major label debut, channel ORANGE. Though the hype surrounding the album alone would've guaranteed great sales, what kept folks coming back was the album's sheer quality. Track's like the sublime "Sweet Life," "Super Rich Kids," "Bad Religion," "Forrest Gump" and "Thinkin' Bout You" — which has become his signature song — lived up to the budding talent's promise and showed that he was a talented force to watch out for.
