One of the highlights of the Summer Spirit Festival is typically the go-go act that always gets the local DMV audience going. For the 2016 Summer Spirit Festival, it was Be'la Dona's time to shine, and the 10-piece, all-female band knocked it outta the park for their first time on the Summer Spirit Festival stage. The ladies were dressed in white party fresh attire and put everyone on notice with a song that included the declaration, "We came to party." The ladies then segued into a few covers with a go-go twist. Adele's "Hello" and Andra Day's "Rise Up" got refixed before they performed a smoking mashup of "All the Way Up" and "Formation." Remy Ma and Beyoncé would have been proud.
Things really turned up when Be'la Dona were joined on stage by DJ Kool to perform his smash "Let Me Clear My Throat" and EU's Sugar Bear who sang a couple of songs with the ladies, including "Da Butt," which had everyone on their feet and shaking their rumps to the intoxicating go-go rhythms.
