In case you haven't noticed, quite a few Bounce-Worthy faves have made notable contributions to our playlists for this year. One such group that we're particularly geeked about is The Seshen. The Bay Area collective recently announced the impending arrival of Flames & Figures, a full-length follow-up to 2014's Unravel EP (and its subsequent companion project, Unravel Remixes). The title track and video have already proven that their efforts are well worth the two-year wait. And now they've released the second album teaser, "Distant Heart," doubling our pleasure with a maxi single/EP and a music video.

The chilly groove is a hypnotic blend of electro-pop and alt-R&B. Lead vocalist Lalin St. Juste simultaneously floats above the synth-laden track while weaving her ethereal tones throughout. With an eclectic supporting cast that includes her bandmates – bassist/producer Akiyoshi Ehara, vocalist Kasha Rockland, drummer Chris Thalmann, keyboard/synth player Mahesh Rao, percussionist Mirza Kopelman and sampler Kumar Butler – Lalin further captivates during the Peter McCollough-directed visuals.

Written in response to the devastating loss of a friend,"Distant Heart" is one of the most personal songs on the album. “It’s about being unable to reach someone who is determined on their path away from you," St. Juste explains. "In the chorus I’m saying ‘you went too far and I can’t see you, you can’t go on and I can’t reach you’ Now your heart is far away - there’s nothing I can do but let you go.”
