Back in the ‘90s, bad boy group Jodeci redefined what it meant to be an R&B singer during the decade and provided some great babymaking music. Keke Wyatt takes inspiration from K-Ci, JoJo, Mr. Dalvin and DeVante Swing on her latest single, appropriately named “Jodeci,” a mid-tempo song perfect for your GTD playlist.

“Jodeci” takes a number of cues from the infamous ‘90s boyband incorporating lyrics such as, "Said you want to do it any freek'n where, well that I gotta see / And you said you want to kiss me every freek'n where, well that I gotta see," a play on “Freek n’ You,” along with production that feels like it was blessed by DeVante Swing. Of course, Keke’s vocals and charms are undeniable on the track.

The video for the song, directed by Stack Moses, opens with a close up of Keke’s luscious lips, focusing on their sexy violet red shade, a gold grill in her mouth and her sensational voice. From there we see Keke preening and posturing, giving us swag for days as she expresses her desire for her lover to back up all that s**t they were talking, rocking a baseball cap, camo overalls and a rock n’ roll t-shirt. There’s also a sexy silhouette of Keke against a lava lamp background, and our girl decked out in a fitted leather dress and cap, no doubt inspired by the band, whipping her blonde locks for days.

“Jodeci” is our first treat from Keke’s upcoming release of her album Rated Love Deluxe. The re-release of her album Rated Love that dropped in the spring promises to give us a few new tracks, in addition to our favorites, “Love” and “Sexy Song.” “Jodeci" is a great addition to this already stupendous project and we look forward to hearing more from Rate Love Deluxe when it drops October 21st.
