Kendrick Lamar Decides To 'Hold Court' With Reebok Classic

If you're looking for some new shoes, Reebok Classic may just have what you need in their latest Club C's. Kendrick Lamar is a fan and pays homage to the shoes in a new four-part ad series for the brand. As you already know, the TDE rapper is in cahoots with Reebook, having done two commercials with the brand last year and recently releasing a stonewashed Club C Capsule sneaker promoting equality and justice. For their new for the Spring/Summer 2017 "Hold Court" campaign, the artist emphasizes the brand's connection to your heritage, to your court and your passion in a visual series shot by acclaimed director Nabil.

The videos take inspiration from the actual court where Kendrick played tennis. Shot in front of a projection of a Compton High School’s tennis court, Kendrick discusses the classic silhouette of the shoe. "Clean, understated and beyond design. What the sneaker represents is important to me. Staying true to your roots and where you came from. Staying real," he says in the first video. "A champ has to be passionate, a champ has to have a desire, a champ has to have the hunger, a champ has to be fearless...," says Kendrick in the second of the four videos.

When he's not pushing shoes, Kendrick is still performing (and hopefully working on new music). The rapper will close out Coachella this spring as the headliner for the final day of the three-day festival. Until we hear more on the music front from Kendrick, watch his nostalgic ads for Reebok right here and learn more about the "Hold Court" campaign on Reebok.com.
