Wyclef Jean Mistakenly Arrested By LAPD
In rather infuriating news, hip-hop great and former Fugee Wyclef Jean was mistakenly arrested in Los Angeles this week. How does one mistake a well-known, multi-platinum rapper for a crook you ask? Allow us to explain. Deputies were responding to a call that a man and woman had been robbed and beaten at an intersection in the city. The suspects were said to have fled in a gold or tan Toyota. They then pulled over a car matching the description, inadvertently target 'Clef and his female manager, who had just left the studio. Once they determined that Wyclef fit the description (which was apparently black man with a dark hoodie and red bandanna), the cops detained and handcuffed Wyclef, only letting him go when the victims relayed the info that there was no female in the getaway car. Wyclef posted the situation to Twitter, including a video of him being handcuffed.
