It's Art of Cool Festival 2017 time! The annual music festival returns for its fourth edition from Friday, April 28th through Sunday, April 30th in Durham, North Carolina. We've made the trip to Durham for the past three years, and it has been one of the highlights festival season each and every year. This year looks to kick things up several notches with a dope lineup of jazz, alternative soul, hip-hop and genre-defying artists on the schedule.
The Art of Cool Festival 2017 begins in a major way on the final Friday in April with performances planned from hip-hop legend Rakim, the Revive Big Band doing it for the culture with special guests Goapele and Pharoahe Monch, contemporary jazz great Christian Scott, Wondaland darlings St. Beauty and a flock of SoulBounce faves, including GoldLink, JMSN, Masego, Kendra Foster and Alex Isley. And these are just a few of the artists who'll be rocking various stages around downtown Durham for day one of the AOC Fest as you can see by the flyer above. We absolutely cannot wait to see all of these talented performers doing their thing and to turn up in Bull City with the rest of the Cooligans.
