Toro y Moi Contemplates Where Things Went Wrong In 'You And I'

As we near the July 7th release date of Toro y Moi's latest album, Boo Boo, he continues to keep his fans satiated with the release of the album's sophomore single and video, "You and I."

With his latest offering, Toro offers up another simple, albeit visually captivating, image as he stares longingly into the camera and contemplates where a past relationship went wrong. Directed by Harry Israelson, the video captures the sparse and emotionally raw feel of the song as he starts out sitting atop a piano before the music moves him to dance. The entire clip is at once a bit awkward yet endearing as the Berkeley, California-resident pours his heart out and laments the things he could have done differently.

Though things may be a bit somber on the relationship front, Toro, who recently changed his name to Chaz Bear, has plenty to celebrate in other aspects of his life. That's because his hometown recently honored his musical contributions by naming June 27th "Chaz Bundick Day" after the musician's birth name. To mark the occasion, he received an official mayoral proclamation at the Berkeley City Council meeting. Noting the monumental honor, he took to Instagram to express his appreciating for the honor, saying, "Crazy. Honored to say June 27th is officially Chaz B. Day for Berkeley, Ca. B urself [sic] and stay open minded."
