The festival curates the best and the boldest in music, art, food, hair, fashion and anyone making waves and disrupting their respective industry.
If you're looking for more than music, the festival comes with a smorgasbord of activities to choose from. AFROPUNK After Dark events were just announced and include their annual Fancy Dress Ball, Afro Comedy, FAR OUT BLACK: An Evening of Afro-Futurist Short Films and The Rebel Soul Cypher, just to name a few. You can also buy some new DIY pieces when you stop by the Spinthrift Market and then eat until your heart is content at Bites&Beats, which is for every palette from vegan to paleo. Don't forget AFROPUNK has its sports element, hosting their Battle For The Streets skate contest and a Sk8 jam on Sunday. And if you have a thing for hair, visit the Hair Village, where you can watch ladies live demos and even get a new style at the Macy Gray Braid Bar.
Solange is staying on the go this summer and has made appearances at The 10th Annual Roots Picnic, ESSENCE Festival, London's 15th Annual Lovebox Festival and is set to grace the stage for North Carolina's Hopscotch Music Festival and Dave Chappelle's highly anticipated residency at New York's famed Radio City Music Hall.
