De La Soul rocked their mics right on day one of the 2017 Summer Spirit Festival. The first hip-hop act to take the stage during the weekend's festivities set it off with their catalog of classic jams that got the audience to stay on their feet for their entire set. Although De La released the album and the Anonymous Nobody... in 2016, they dug deep in the crates this time around, performing selections such as "Oooh," "Potholes In My Lawn," "Stakes Is High" and the forever jam "A Roller Skating Jam Named 'Saturdays'." Posdnuos, Dave and Maseo shouted out J Dilla and showed love to Ma Dukes who was in attendance. To cap their throwback-heavy performance, De La Soul ended their show with their hits "Me, Myself & I" and "Buddy (Native Tongue Decision)" that took everyone back to the golden era.
