Aaliyah, Nicki Minaj & Taraji P. Henson Collaborate with MAC Cosmetics
Today, August 25, 2017, we celebrate the life and legacy of singer Aaliyah Houghton, who died in a plane crash on this day 16 years ago. While it is a sad day for fans of babygirl, MAC Cosmetics has been also given them a reason to celebrate. The late great Aaliyah will now be immortalized with her own MAC Cosmetics Collection, and we have Aaliyah stans to thank. Fans started a Change.org petition two years ago that garnered more than 26,000 supporters. In an Instagram post, which continues to be everyone's favorite PR tool, MAC said that, “Aaliyah is truly one in a million. An unstoppable icon whose groundbreaking work in R&B music and film inspires us all. Today we join her countless fans in celebrating her with the announcement of the M.A.C Aaliyah collection. You made it happen! Stay tuned in 2018.” In addition to Aaliyah's line, MAC also announced that they had more Black Girl Magic planned with Nicki Minaj and another collabo with Taraji P.
