Flavor Flav Files Lawsuit Against Chuck D Over Unpaid Public Enemy Royalties

Flavor Flav might think that 911 is a joke, but he trusts the legal system enough to sue former Public Enemy bandmate Chuck D over unpaid royalties. According to Billboard, Flav has a bone to pick with Chuck and the group's management, whom he claims tried to minimize his role in the group in order to undercut his share of the group's profits. He also claims that he hasn't been paid royalties for 50 songs that he co-wrote for the group and that his voice and image were used without his consent on the group's most recent album Nothing Is Quick In The Desert — despite him going to the studio to record his parts for the album . For his part, Chuck D seems pretty unfazed by it all, writing on Twitter, "Flav will be OK. TMZ Drama is beneath me considering our age. It's low entertainment, but I definitely like to find those 50 he songs he wrote." Ouch. Hopefully, Flav and Chuck can amicably work things out for the love of hip hop. #NobodyWinsWhenTheFamilyFeuds
