Paris Jackson Checks White Supremacy At The VMAs

While this year's MTV Video Music Awards seemed, for the most part, a pretty vapid affair, leave it to Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late, great Michael Jackson, to bring some wokeness to the festivities. Before announcing the nominees for the Best Pop Video award, Paris took some time to address the events that occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia, and alt-right rallies across the country. “I hope we leave here tonight remembering that we must show these Nazi, white supremacist jerks in Charlottesville and all over the country that as a nation with liberty as our slogan we have zero tolerance for their violence, hatred, and their discrimination,” she said to the crowd, making many in the audience and at home take notice. She then added, “We must resist.” Well alright, Miss Paris. Looks like MJ raised you right. #MJTaughtHer
