They declare, “I’m doing this for both of us / Baby, all the different shows, baby, out on this road / I’m doing this for both of us / Girl, you know I love my fans, but this job can be demanding.” There's even a spiritual element to the song with the bible verse Mark 8:36 ("For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?") interpolated into the lyrics. This latest single is an honest, grown man, seasoned entertainer account of the tolls that the music business can take on one’s personal relationships, as well the sacrifices made by all involved.
