Big K.R.I.T. Refuses To Dance With 'The devil'

Our boy Big K.R.I.T. knows how to make a dramatic exit. In a series of moves that made sure we watched him as he walked away (from Def Jam, that is), he kept hip-hop fans buzzing for the latter part of 2016 with his impressive 12 For 12 freestyle mixtape followed by a lyrical middle-finger to his former bosses called "Free Agent." After staying under the radar for most of this year, he proved he also knows how to make one hell of an entrance when he announced his double-disc return 4EVA Is A Mighty Long Time.

So far, we've gotten a cinematic peek inside album opener "Big K.R.I.T." along with audio leaks of "Confetti" and "Keep The devil Off." The latter also came with grainy visuals of K.R.I.T. having a personal praise and worship session as he glory-hallelu'd his way throughout the inspirational track. It turns out that the "Take 1" footage was just a primer for the full Alex Nazari-directed video which premiered earlier today.

The clip features internet sensation and 2016 winner of So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation, Kida The Great. Set against a low-income housing backdrop, we watch as Kida dances his way out of temptation, danger and overall negativity. K.R.I.T. appears via cutaway shots of his "Take 1" performance. According to press release, this poignant, powerful piece is meant to bring us "a message of positivity, sanctity and perseverance - 'keeping the devil off!'" Amen, somebody!
