Moonchild Animates A Different Kind Of Love Story In 'Run Away'

We're kind of hopelessly in love with anything Moonchild does. Their most recent album, Voyager, is no exception. Chock full of dreamy soundscapes and the sound sweet sound of lead singer Amber Navran's vocals, Voyager is exactly what any music lover could ask for. In fact, the only complaint we can make about the project is that it hasn't spawned much in the way of visuals. Enter the trio to help rectify that problem with a brand spanking new video for album standout "Run Away."

The song is brought to visual life by animator Darena Popova, who tells the story of the unlikely relationship between a lion and a bird. The lion looks to the beautifully plumed bird as a guiding figure, seemingly only operating at his feathered friend's yes or no. This includes whether or not to hunt and feed or, near the video's end, mate with leonine temptresses. Though the two animals' bond seems unshakeable, the bird eventually leads the lion away from her, flying free into the sky as the lion looks on. Throughout the video, the trio appears in animated form to provide the clip's jazzy soundtrack.

Though not exactly the visual we imagined while listening to the track, we must admit that the look and narrative of the video was a stroke of genius that perfectly captures the track's feel and theme kind of perfectly. See what we mean when you check out Moonchild's  video for "Run Away" below. Oh, and don't forget to pick up your copy of Voyager if you haven't done so already.
