We've Waited 'All This Time' For Ezel & Mike City To Collaborate

Dominican producer/musician/DJ Ezel has held us captive as slaves to his rhythms for several years now. With a hefty catalog of sweat-inducing refixes, curated playlists (including a SoulBounce exclusive), original works and his signature Bayacou Guine series, it's impossible to pick a favorite. And now that he's officially launched his own label, Bayacou Records, we're eager to see what the creative artist has got in store.

Luckily, he didn't keep us waiting too long. As a follow-up to the forward-leaning house grooves of his summertime Bayacou debut Origins, he's back with a hot new maxi-single named "All This Time," and it's perfect for the chillier temps of fall. The soulful tune is an instant dance floor classic as guest vocalist Mike City woos us with smooth vocals over an infectious loop of percussion-heavy afro house. Given Ezel's penchant for slaying us with his reworks, it's not surprising that the single also includes a "Bayacou Dub" flip of the original. The reinterpretation immediately sinks its hooks into the melody and drives it deeper into the groove with an altered tempo, amped-up synth and more focus on the rhythmic undertones.

No need to wait until October 20th to download "All This Time" via iTunes. You can listen below and download your copy, which includes the "Bayacou Dub" and instrumental versions, through Bandcamp right now. Visit the Bayacou Records website to stay in tune with Ezel and keep up with his newest releases. And speaking of releases, lend your support to Mike City's The Feel Good Agenda, Volume One if you haven't already.
