“Scumbag” is a lover’s tale of woe from a woman scorned. Over soulful production of strings, drums and synths, LaBelle gives her ex a piece of her mind. “For once I thought I ain’t have to worry / But I found out quick, fast, in a hurry / You’re just another scumbag, ” she sings. LaBelle's vocals effortlessly float across the track, whether she’s belting out powerful notes or sweet harmonies. Of the track, J.D. shared that it was one of his favorites out of the many songs he produced for his protégé.

Originally signed to a joint deal with super producers Dupri and Pharrell Williams, Leah Labelle’s project never saw the light of day. Thankfully, we do have this sweet reminder of what could have been.
