Who Asked For This?! Da Brat, LeToya Luckett, Demetria McKinney To Star In 'Set It Off' Stage Play

1996 bank heist drama Set It Off became a hood classic and helped catapult the film's director, F. Gary Gray, and its talented all-female main cast into the Hollywood A-list. That being said, does it need to be adapted into a stage play? Apparently so. Playwright Je'Caryous Johnson has made the seminal film into a play and tapped Da BratLeToya LuckettDemetria McKinney and Kyla Pratt to star. Da Brat will be stepping into the role of Cleo Simms, the lesbian bank robber role first originated by Queen Latifah in the film, though it hasn't been announced what roles the other ladies will be playing. Tickets for the play are on sale now and the touring production is set to kick off on March 9th in Atlanta. #WhyTho
