Day one of the 2018 Jazz In The Gardens Music Fest was closed out by the one and only Chaka Khan. The Queen of Funk brought her arsenal of hit songs with her, including “Tell Me Something Good,” “Sweet Thing,” “You Can Make the Story Right,” “I’m Every Woman,” “Ain’t Nobody” and so much more. Chaka looked amazing, but her vocals showed signs of wear. She seemed a bit under the weather, but she nonetheless gave the audience her all while backed by a stellar band of musicians and three showstopping background singers. Chaka chose to push through and show us how a true star goes on with the show. Some attendees chose to leave early, but her die-hard fans hung in there and made the best out of a tough situation.
