Yebba Proves Her Talent Is Enduring & Endearing In 'Evergreen'

Yebba might not be a household name yet but the singer definitely showed up and showed out when she duetted with PJ Morton for his cover of "How Deep Is Your Love" on Gumbo Unplugged. In fact, it was perhaps the most talked about collaboration from the set. In case you wanted to hear more from this talented woman, she's just recently released a video for her 2017 single "Evergreen" and it's sure to give you the same kind of chills.

In the video, Yebba literally takes us to church as she, her band and a choir bring the song to life at New York City's Our Lady Of Good Counsel Church. She takes advantage of the sanctuary's incredible acoustics, with her incredible voice going from soft and sweet to loud and bold as her backing vocalists and the choir follow her every step of the way. And though the song she's singing is a secular, we can say with confidence that Yebba delivers a very holy experience with the touching track. For Yebba, though, it was a full circle and emotional moment. "Every Sunday, I was there. On the front pew in between momma, and my dad's organ," she wrote about the video on Facebook. "Since mom's suicide, I feel sick to my stomach if I try to go back to church. However, on this day, it was the only place I could sing 'Evergreen' live."
